Do you have the skills required to be a vital member of our Marion County team in the role of Access Team Leader?

Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Marion County Operations, the Access Team Leader is responsible for assisting the other Access Staff in Marion County by coordinating the day-to-day operations in an efficient and effective manner. Work time will be split between performing team leader functions and access functions.
This position requires an individual who is able to work a flexible work schedule which may include some evening hours.

Essential Functions will include:
Coordinating the day-to-day access operations in an efficient and effective manner;
Providing ongoing training and technical assistance designed to promote team-based quality improvement approaches to the day-to-day operations;
Ensuring that office complies with internal and external compliance criteria;
Performing essential functions pertaining to clinical records and all consumer related customer service issues;
Providing for/arranging staff training and professional development activities to meet the needs of the front office staff;
Organizing access operations according to policy, procedures and objectives while coordinating with related departments, clinical services, health information management, business office, and information systems;
Maintaining a good working relationship with other staff members, including doctors and therapists;
Effectively demonstrate the values of the organization, e.g., actions convey respect for the uniqueness, dignity, and worth of all individuals; addresses the needs of our internal and external customers in an expedient manner; is solution-focused and results oriented.

This position requires 2 to 3 years medical front office experience (behavioral health front office experience preferred)

Candidates for this position must demonstrate the following:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a team-based atmosphere
Must possess good computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment, e.g., Excel, Word, etc.
Initiative and judgment to perform independently and interdependently;
Leadership shills and knowledge of competencies related to performance improvement tools and techniques;
Excellent customer service skills;
Analytical skills;
Professional appearance and demeanor;
Good attendance and punctuality; and
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
